How to Kayak the Chattahoochee River This video is a Google Earth walk through of the Chattahoochee River, from Buford Dam to McGinnis Ferry. Paddling the Chattahoochee River is a great way spend the day. And, the “Hooch” is a world class trout fishery. The Georgia State Record Trout was caught from this river (at 20 Rock) prior to me making this video. This video show multiple river access points and good trout fishing spots. If you are new to kayaking or canoeing and looking for a moderately easy river to gain some experience, the Chattahoochee River is a great start. Be aware of water release times and always keep a life jacket on board! Have fun!
